Armenia launches Iran–EEU free-trade zone negotiations
YEREVAN, Mar 29 (PRIME) -- Armenia has initiated negotiations on a free-trade zone between the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) and Iran, Deputy Prime Minister Vache Gabrielyan told reporters Tuesday.
“This was Armenia’s initiative. A working group, that studies all issues, was established in the EEU on that basis. There are five countries and a large amount of questions, this is why the issue is being worked out…This is a difficult process that is being conducted now,” Gabrielyan said.
The EEU comprises Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Armenia, and Kyrgyzstan.
